We are seeking a talented and motivated Analytics and Data Engineering Associate to join our team. This role requires a strong foundation in analytics and data engineering with great opportunities for self-development and progression. The successful candidate will work alongside a team of experienced analysts and engineers and will be accountable for supporting the development of analytical models, dashboards, data systems, and reports that drive business decisions.

Key accountabilities & responsibilities
  • A key player in the defining our future Space Strategy and Transformation pillar “size and shape” of our estate and shops; building significant understanding of our stores and BUs with insight that underpins future right sizing decisions.
  • Drives powerful outcomes through expert knowledge of data analysis, aligning complex information from multiple sources into clear insight with recommended actions.
  • Builds a unified network across Clothing & Home, Retail, Finance, Data & Digital, and Property to successfully operate in the role and deliver future commercial value across all stores and projects.
  • Owns the Test & Learn agenda for Space incl. establishing a T&L programme, monitoring, and driving activity that ensures the business drives and understands performance in every test, learns, and concludes outcomes with strong insight. Acts as a champion for change and innovation.
Key Skills
  • Either a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field or relevant experience
  • Strong analytical skills and a solid foundation in statistics
  • Proficiency in SQL and Excel
  • Experience with at least one programming language (e.g., Python, R, Java, VBA)
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau)
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data storage and processing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure)
  • Knowledge of machine learning concepts and techniques
  • Experience working within a retail environment
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office packages (e.g., PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • You have high levels of intellectual curiosity and a can-do mindset.
